Sergio Busquets has handed a bitter blow to several Premier League sides by agreeing a new deal at Barcelona.
The Spanish international had previously been a prime target for Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United, however their dreams have been dashed as newspaper reports claim that a new deal has been agreed between Barcelona and the player.
AS claim that Busquets, aged 26, is to pen a lucrative new deal at the Nou Camp until the summer of 2019.
Both Chelsea and United had been looking to take advantage Barcelona’s current transfer embargo, by plotting a move to the World Cup winner.
