Kalidou Koulibaly has made it clear to his current club that he wants to join Chelsea, However, Napoli reportedly will ignore the Premier League club’s offers.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the 25-year-old centre-back has informed the Italian club he is keen to leave and there is plenty of interest from Antonio Conte, who is looking to strengthen his defence before the window closes.
Chelsea have been linked with Koulibaly for a while now, but have failed numerous times to advance with a potential move as Napoli remain un-tempted by money having just sold Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus for £75.3m.
Koulibaly’s contract will expire in 2019 and Napoli have already rejected the £38m offer from the Blues, according to Sky Sports.
