Barcelona have confirmed that they have agreed a deal with Sevilla for the transfer of 23-year old forward Munir El Haddadi. Haddadi has joined the club on a transfer fee of £1.05 million. El Haddadi joined Barcelona’s youth team in 2011 and played there till he joined the senior team in 2014.
El Haddadi has made 56 appearances for Barca so far, scoring 12 goals and registering 11 assists. This season, the Spaniard of Moroccan descent has made only 11 appearances, scoring 2 goals and registering an assist.
A statement from Barcelona on their website read, “The Club would like to thank Munir El Haddadi for his dedication and commitment and wishes him all the best for the future.”
El Haddadi is Sevilla’s first winter signing. Sevilla already have a pretty decent forward lineup consisting of Nolito, Wissam Ben Yedder and Andre Silva. Hence, it will be a little difficult for the 23-year old to find a place in Pablo Machin’s playing XI.
