Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has refused to talk about reports linking Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata to a move to Atletico Madrid. Alvaro Morata has struggled for Chelsea ever since joining the club last summer. This season he has struggled to be a prolific scorer for Chelsea despite being given numerous chances by Maurizio Sarri.
Morata has been linked to a transfer to Sevilla lately. However, Sevilla themselves admitted that the deal is very ‘complicated. Recently, there have been reports linking the Spaniard to a move to Atletico Madrid.
However, Simeone refused to shed any light on the reports. The former Argentina captain said following Atletico’s draw against Girona, “The only thing I’m thinking about is the upcoming match against Levante. I don’t speak about players that aren’t with us, only those that are. I can’t confirm or deny anything because coaches wait to see what the club can do. Some players want more minutes, some could be sold by the club, some could arrive. We need to wait until January 31.”
