Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has lifted the lid on his recent meeting with Juventus striker Paulo Dybala in Madrid.
Simeone and Dybala were spotted at the same restaurant in Madrid last week and that prompted reports which claimed that the Spanish capital club had agreed a five-year deal with the Juve forward.
However, the Atleti boss says there is no truth in such speculation and insists he just had a chance meeting with the Argentine.
“It pains me to see all sorts of misinformation sparked off from this. We bumped into each other at a restaurant. I was eating alone and he was with two friends,” he said at a press conference.
“I told him that he was a fine player and that’s the height of it.
“There are people from the media who do a great job and others who fail to do so.
“The world needs constant new information and I’m happy to see when things are reported correctly.”
