Sir Alex blasts slow starters at Old Trafford

Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted he has no idea why his team cannot start well at Old Trafford this season.

The Scotsman has seen his side come from behind eight times in twelve matches and insists he has no idea why they can’t start well in matches.

Ferguson said: “It’s unbelievable — I can’t understand it. I can’t get to the bottom of it at all. It has been difficult for us this season.”

Manchester United were given a Champions League scare last night from Braga after the visiting side took an early 2-0 lead, but goals from Johnny Evans and Hernandez (2), saw the English side win 3-2.

The boss said after the match:

“We will get to the bottom of it, I am sure of that. But if you analyse the goals we are losing, they are all different types. So it is difficult to put my finger on it.

“The forwards get us out of the hole.”

Sir Alex Ferguson will hope his side get off to a quicker start at the weekend when his side go to league leaders Chelsea.
