Real Madrid Santiago Solari has said that Sergio Ramos was asked trick questions by the journalists about the booking which he picked up against Ajax in the Champions League match. The Spaniard said that he picked up the booking on purpose. Reportedly, UEFA has launched an investigation to find out whether the allegation is true which might land the player in trouble in the future.
Accepting his captain’s explanation, the Galacticos gaffer said, “Referring to what Sergio said, he has given all the pertinent explanations and he has said clearly that he referred to forcing the foul.”
He added, “He has also been asked in a tricky way, you [journalists] have your own methods. Anyway, he has also explained himself.”
The player is already set to miss the return leg of the Ajax match which will be played at Santiago Bernabeu. However, if his guilt is proven, then according to the new rules implemented by UEFA, Ramos will have to face a two-match ban as his punishment.
