The Argentine star is in doubt to take part in the semi-final first leg of the clash with an injury that he picked up against Valencia in their last match in the La Liga. Messi has been in superb form this season and has turned a number of matches in favour of the Blaugrana with his individual brilliance. His absence will definitely be a big boost for the Galacticos in the semi-final of the prestigious tournament but Solari wants his compatriot to face them in the match.
Speaking to the media ahead of the mega clash, the Argentine gaffer said, “In football it is good for the best players to play in all games. That is how it is.”
Messi also did not feature in the first match between the two sides in the La Liga in October last year as well due to an injury which kept out of action for almost three weeks.
