Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he wants to restore Sir Alex Ferguson’s style at Manchester United.

The former striker is yet to lose a match since taking charge last month at Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he wants to restore Sir Alex Ferguson’s style at the club. The Red Devils are yet to lose a match under his tutelage since the former striker took over the reins from Jose Mourinho. They have dominated the proceedings thoroughly in their last four matches against Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town, Bournemouth and Newcastle United and have won all the matches by a margin of two or more goals.

Speaking to the media ahead of their FA Cup tie against Reading, the former Norweigan international said what success means to him. He said, “Get to summer and people are talking about the way Manchester United are playing, that it reminds us of Sir Alex Ferguson’s teams, of the successful times. It has to start with the way we play because, results, you cannot control. You can control how you approach the game and how you play. And, of course, trophies – if you can get to the final of the FA Cup and get a trophy.”

When asked who is the best choice to become a permanent manager at the club, the interim manager held himself as the most suitable candidate to take the job. He said, “Man United fits me very well because it’s in me, it’s in your personality, it’s ingrained in you. I understand the club. I thought I could go into Cardiff but different clubs have different cultures, different playing styles and philosophies.”
