Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to take one match at a time as the new Manchester United manager.

The former Red Devil enjoyed a great start to his tenure as the interim gaffer with a resounding 5-1 victory against his former club, Cardiff City.

New Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he wants to take one match at a time in his tenure as the interim manager at Old Trafford. The former striker was appointed after the sacking of Jose Mourinho, under whom the Red Devils faced their worst start in the Premier League this season. However, Solskjaer’s journey at Old Trafford has started in the best way possible, with the Red Devils winning their first match under him in emphatic style against his former club Cardiff City by 5-1.

The Manchester United legend was, however, not overwhelmed with the result and said that he will take one game at a time. He said, “We take one game at a time now. We’ve caught up eight or nine points before but we’ve got to go one step at a time. I was proud and humble at the reception from the fans, it has been an emotional week. But it’s a start and we move on.”

Speaking about Paul Pogba, who played a very important role in yesterday’s win, Solskjaer said, “I think he (Pogba) brings what he can, he’s a quality player.”

He lavished praise for the other players as well, “But that’s the same with all of them. I’ve worked with Paul before and enjoyed the two days we’ve had and will enjoy working with him and the rest of them in the next four or five months.”
