South Korea manager Paulo Bento has said that Son Heung Min might need rest.

The Tottenham Hotspur star is set to join his national team for the Asia Cup.

South Korea manager has said that Son Heung Min has to be eased into the Asian Cup after he arrives from Tottenham Hotspur. The star winger has been in prolific form for the Premier League club and has helped them to pose a serious threat to all the big name clubs in the race for supremacy in the Premier League. The player has been having the time of his life, having been used on a regular basis by his club and country and needs to be used with ease for his national team, says Bento.

Speaking to the media, the South Korea coach said, “After he arrives we will see what we are going to do in the game against China. We will talk and then we are going to take the best decisions for the team. So we need to wait for the game that probably he’s going to play on Sunday and then check everything he’s done in the last months, because he played a lot of games.”

When asked whether he is going to change his playing style on the arrival of Son, Bento said, “We are not going to change our way of playing when we have Son Heung-min with us. What I think we are going to do is improve our collective game, try to attack better than we have played until now. Of course a player with the quality that Son has, and in the form that he is in at this moment, can help the team. But we need to wait until the game against China or the knockout phase.”
