Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino has revealed his tactics for their upcoming game against Chelsea and has admitted he doesn’t know what he’ll do with star Eden Hazard.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino has said he doens’t have any special plans to man-mark Eden Hazard in the game against Chelsea.

Hazard, 26, has been in exceptional form this season after coming back from injury and will likely start against the Saints.

The Saints will travel to Stamford Bridge after only winning one of their last eight games. And Pellegrino has said he won’t be making any special plans for Eden Hazard.

“We try to defend him in zones’, Pellegrino said.

“If you do man to man marking this type of player can move in different places and it will be difficult for us.

“We have to be really focused and don’t let him receive the ball too much where he is dangerous but the most important thing is to think about us first of all.

“Chelsea are a team that don’t need to dominate you too much to be dangerous because on the counter attack they have players who create.

“They have players who can run 30 or 40 metres with the ball, like Willian, Pedro, even the full backs and Morata.

Chelsea will be looking to get three points from this fixture as they fight to stay relevant in the title race, although coach Antonio Conte has admitted that they are already out of the title race.

The Saints, on the other hand, are just four points above the relegation zone and have struggled to score goals this season while their defence has been uncharacteristically poor, especially after their 4-1 thrashing by Leicester in mid-week.
