Liverpool required to pay top cash for Saints star
Southampton are demanding that Liverpool pay £40million if they want to sign Sadio Mane.
urgen Klopp is reported to be increasing his efforts to land the Senegal international this summer but Saints are determined not to lose their man.
They want to ensure that they receive a bumper pay day if their star man is to depart the south coast for Merseyside in the coming months.
Should Liverpool agree to stump up the asking fee, they will also have to pay out big money on his wages as the star will reportedly ask for £125,000-a-week.
Klopp has turned to the speedy winger after seemingly missing out on top target Mario Gotze.
Gotze looked set to secure a reunion with his former boss but it is understood he will snub a move to Anfield in favour of remaining at Bayern Munich.
Mane joined the Saints for £11.8m in 2014 from Red Bull Salzburg and scored 11 top flight goals last season, providing eight assists.
