Blues attacker Pedro has now confirmed that he will continue to play at Stamford Bridge next season.
The former Barca star said that the appointment of Antonio Conte is good for the Blues.
Pedro joined Chelsea Football Club last summer, leaving his boyhood club after over ten years of service over at the Camp Nou.
The Spain international’s first season in the Premier League was poor as the Blues finished in a disappointing 10th position, Pedro was also in and out of the team under both former bosses Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink.
However, the 28-year-old has insisted that he is keen to remain at Stamford Bridge and the arrival of Conte is good news for the squad.
Pedro told Marca (via Sky Sports): “I’ve never experienced anything like that.
“To be in a great club and find yourself at Christmas near the relegation zone…
“They sacked a very good coach and it was difficult and complicated. But I don’t regret leaving Barca. I will continue at Chelsea.”
“Conte is a coach that works a lot from a tactical level and demands a lot from his players,” he said. “He will be good for us. We will need to show more hunger and ambition for Chelsea to return to where it deserves.”
