Tottenham are closing in on a double swoop for Southampton first-team players Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez.
Former Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino is ready to heap more pressure on his old team, who have lost nearly £100m worth of talent already, after the sales of Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Dejan Lovren.
And now it appears that both Rodriguez and Schneiderlin have been given the green light to leave St.Mary’s themselves, meaning that Southampton sales would rise to £150m.
Schneiderlin is wanted by Arsenal but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is unwilling to match Southampton’s £27m valuation.
Rodriguez is a target for Liverpool, but it appears that Pochettino has acted quickly and before both Brendan Rodgers and Arsene Wenger and is set to sign the players in the coming days.
Both Southampton and Tottenham are currently in advanced talks over a £50m deal for the pair, and Tottenham are expected to secure the pair in the coming days.
