Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that the position for Tottenham in the Premier League is not negative.

Spurs endured a hard-fought draw against arch-rivals Arsenal in the north London derby played earlier today.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that the position of his side is not negative in the Premier League as of yet. The north London club endured a hard-fought draw against arch-rivals Arsenal in the match between the two sides which ended at 1-1. While the Gunners scored via Aaron Ramsey in the first half, Spurs talisman Harry Kane brought them back in the match with a goal in the 74th minute. The scoreline remained unchanged until the final whistle and the encounter ended in a stalemate.

Speaking to the media ahead of the match, the Argentine gaffer said, “I think the feeling is a little bit weird. It should be that everyone before the start of the season (would) sign to be in the position that we’re in today.”

He added, “And you’re asking me, ‘It’s only four points that Arsenal or Manchester United are below us, or Chelsea’? I think we’re living in different realities because, with all the circumstances, Tottenham deserve big praise to be in the position that we’re in at this moment. We’re disappointed in the last two results but we need to keep going and trust in our team.”
