Stephan El Shaarawy will be leaving AC Milan this Summer, according to his agent.

The Italian international was tipped for greatness when he emerged onto the scenes a few years ago, but due to injury issues and lack of game-time, he has struggled to live up to the hype.

The 22-year-old is now struggling to break into the AC Milan first team and is ready to quit the club with Arsenal and Liverpool both previously interested.

El Shaarawy’s agent has admitted that his client will be looking for a move away from the San Siro this Summer in order to save his career.

“I’ve had some requests from abroad, even in January. But Stephan is at home with Milan and doesn’t feel the need to leave,” El Shaarawy’s agent Manuel El Shaarawy told MilanNews.

“He has a good relationship with the fans, the club and his teammates.

“We’ll see what happens in the summer though, it depends on whether the coach [Inzaghi] will stay, if there will be changes at boardroom level and especially what the club plans to do on the transfer market.

“If Milan were to tell us that Stephan needs to go elsewhere then we’d sit round the table and talk about it.”

He added: “I can rule out a move within Italy this summer. There have also been rumours about Udinese and Torino in January, as well as the Rossoblu. All can be excluded as options.

“Stephan will not go to another Italian team.”
