Liverpool are keen on meeting young Raheem Sterling’s £100,000 a-week wage demands after some sensational performances already this season.

The 19-year-old has been a bright spark during Liverpool’s slow start to the Premier League campaign so far, and is set to be rewarded with a huge pay rise.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers had insisted the England winger would have to be patient until his £35,000-a-week wage was risen, but now the club have decided to make the youngster one of the highest earning players at Anfield.

His importance to the club has rose, and with a whole host of European clubs, such as Real Madrid, looking to lure their prized asset away, Liverpool know that they have to secure the player for another couple of years.

And after completing a new contract with forward Daniel Sturridge, Liverpool are seeking to open talks with Sterling in the next couple of days.
