The contract rebel is believed to be a fan of the current Borussia Dortmund manager

Raheem Sterling, 20, could remain at Liverpool should Jurgen Klopp replace Brendan Rodgers, according to The Sun.

After their 6-1 thrashing against Stoke and a third successive year without any silverware, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers looks like he may be dismissed from Anfield.

Rodgers will reportedly meet with Mike Gordon, the president of Fenway Sports Group, who own Liverpool to discuss his future over the next few days.

Klopp has made no secret of his desire to manage in the Premier League but any move to Liverpool would only happen if he had total control over player transfers.

Sterling future

The England international is thought to be leaving in the summer after his agent Aidy Ward remarked that he wouldn’t even sign a £900,000-a-week contract.

Arsenal and Chelsea are believed to be keen on Sterling, but Manchester City will attempt to lure him to the Etihad by making him one of their highest earners.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich recently held talks with Sterling but they broke down after failing to agree personal terms, according to the Manchester Evening News.
