Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has been left shaken-up after he was attacked by a random member of the public in a village just outside of Liverpool.
The unknown figure abused and threatened the 33-year-old, who just got out of his car and was about to walk into a local shop.
Despite no physical attack being made, Gerrard was left shaken-up and is now scared for his families safety as the attack happened near his home where he lives with his wife and three daughters.
Merseyside police have confirmed they are investigating a case of common assault over the incident.
