Liverpool legend could manage England side
Steven Gerrard could soon be making a shock return to English football- as manager of MK Dons.
It is not yet clear whether the 36 year old midfielder, who announced his depature from MLS side LA Galaxy this week, will retire or not.
Gerrard is currently pursuing his Uefa A coaching licence – the second-highest qualification offered.
He would replace Karl Robinson at the Dons, who are currently 21st in League 1.
Since announcing he is to leave the United States before the end of the year, Gerrard has been linked with moves to both Celtic and Newcastle United.
He has said he has “options on and off the pitch”, and former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson stated that Gerrard’s former club should re-sign him as a player-coach.
