Rangers manager Steven Gerrard hopes his side will carry their current form to the next game. The Gers are currently unbeaten in 10 matches under the tutelage of the former Liverpool midfielder and a favourable result against FC Ufa will make them through to the group stages of the Europa League.

The Scottish giants have got the better of FK Shkupi, NK Osijek and NK Maribor in the qualifiers and will be looking to make it count in Russia next week. Defender Connor Goldson was the scorer as Rangers edged out the Russian club at the Ibrox in a tightly contested first leg.

Rangers are yet to concede a goal in the Europa League this term and Gerrard is aiming to keep a clean sheet in the second leg too. The gaffer is confident that his side can pull off another victory when they face the Russian side in the penultimate clash. “I’ve got belief and confidence in my players that we can go and finish the job off.

“We need a performance full of heroes and warriors next week.

“We’ll do whatever it takes to try and get over the line, whether that’s another clean sheet or having people on the pitch who are capable of getting that away goal.

“I believe if we get another goal it’ll be a big task for them.”
