Steven Gerrard: “This is my prediction for the Liverpool vs Chelsea match”
Liverpool legend and BT Sport pundit Steven Gerrard has spoken about his former team’s match up against Chelsea on Saturday, and revealed his prediction for the game.
The ex England international played in a number of classic matches against the Blues and almost signed for them on two occasions, but in the end stayed loyal to his boyhood club.
Gerrard admitted that it was tough to pick a winner for the match, instead insisting that it was a 50/50 clash with both teams capable of taking the three points.
The Blues have had little time to prepare after a nightmare 5,000 mile trip to Qarabag which they only returned from on Thursday, which some think could play against them at Anfield.
“I’m sure that Jurgen Klopp and his players will be hoping [Chelsea] are not as fresh as normal but I think that all goes out of the window when it kicks off,” he told BT Sport.
“It’s a very tough game for Liverpool, but they have a chance and it is a 50/50 in my opinion. It’s set up to be a cracker.” he concluded.
