Ticket-prices have been revealed for Steven Gerrard’s final ever Liverpool game in May.
The Liverpool Echo claim that tickets are selling around £2,000 on some ticketing websites, for the game against Crystal Palace at Anfield in May.
Gerrard, aged 34, rejected a new deal at Liverpool, and will move to American MLS side, the LA Galaxy in the summer, after more than a decade at the Merseyside outfit.
But a spokesman for Liverpool denied that tickets will be sold for that amount.
“Liverpool Football Club has strict terms and conditions around the use and transfer of match tickets.
“The unauthorised sale of tickets is a criminal offence and the club supports the work of the Premier League and local and national enforcement organisations where they investigate the illegal sale of tickets.”
