Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard could miss the whole of the festive period after he picked up a hamstring injury during their 4-1 victory over West Ham United on Saturday.
The captain limped off in the second-half and early signs are suggesting that he could be sidelined for a month at least, which would mean missing the busy Christmas period, including games with Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
It is believed that Gerrard had scans on the injury yesterday and the club are now awaiting for the news, but if it is as bad as first feared, it will be a massive blow for Brendan Rodgers, who is already without striker Daniel Sturridge for the next two months.
