Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has confirmed that the Club are interested in signing Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond, according to Sky Sports News.

Redmond, aged 20 only joined Norwich from Birmingham City last summer, however following the Canaries relegation to the Premier League in May, it has been reported that Redmond would like a return to the top flight.

The winger made 40 appearances for Norwich in the Premier League  last season, scoring just the once in a fixture against Southampton.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes, who is intering the second year of his job at the Britannia Stadium, stated to Sky Sports News that Stoke are keen on the player.

There is interest there – he’s a good young player and a player we would like.

“But he’s not our player, he’s Norwich’s player, and they are obviously well within their rights to retain him.

“He’s under contract to them and there is nothing moving at the moment. So we’ll just have to bide our time.”
