Youngster joins from FC Barcelona after snubbing contract at Nou Camp

Stoke City Football Club have announced the signing of FC Barcelona youngster Moha El Ouriachi.

The 19-year-old was offered a pro contract by Barca, but he decided to snub the deal and instead, completed his move to the Premier League side.

Moha will link up with former-Barca youth projects Bojan and Marc Muniesa, and could make his debut for his new club in today’s pre-season match against Everton.

Stoke are competing in the Asia Trophy alongside The Toffees and Arsenal and Moha could make his first appearance for Mark Hughes‘ side.

Club Statement

After announcing the deal, the club’s Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “He’s excited about joining a Premier League club, especially one that already has two former Barcelona players in their squad.

“Moha has seen the progress made by Bojan and Marc and wants to try and do likewise.”
