West Brom have told all potential suitors that the striker is not for sale.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Saido Berahino will not be making the move to Stoke today and that they would have smashed the club transfer record to sign him.

Stoke placed a ÂŁ20m plus add-ons bid for the forward earlier today but West Brom once again claimed that the player was not for sale.

Hughes has now reluctantly admitted that they will not be able to sign the 22-year old and it looks like he will be staying at the Hawthorns, with Newcastle also having a bid rejected for him last night.

Future is at West Brom

West Brom have consistently claimed that he is not for sale and they have stayed true to their word so far, with each and every bid being turned down.

Hughes said about the bid: “It’s been mentioned that we might have been in the market for a certain West Brom player. I think it’s fair to say, West Brom have been quite insistent in their message that Berahino wasn’t available.

“We expressed an interest and we asked to be kept informed, but they have been consistent in their message so I don’t anticipate anything.”

It looks like Berahino’s future is at the Baggies.
