Defender wants move

John Stones will beg Everton chairman Bill Kenwright to allow the defender to join the champions.

It has been revealed that the defender told boss Roberto Martinez at the end of last season that he is willing to listen to offers from other clubs.

Chelsea have since bid thrice for the youngster, with the latest being ÂŁ30m but have all so far been rejected.

Final Bid

It is understood that the Blues are ready to make one final ÂŁ36m bid and will then expect Stones to push through the bid.

Kenwright knows that this kind of money will be good business, having bought the defender for just ÂŁ3m from Barnsley.

Stones could be bought as a replacement to the ageing John Terry, and could form a strong partnership with 20 year old Kurt Zouma in the future.
