The Spain international wants a return to La Liga
Chelsea centre forward Diego Costa has told to club that he wants to leave in order to re-join Atletico Madrid.
SillySeason has previously reported that the 27-year old wanted to leave Stamford Bridge to return to Atleti, the club that the Blues signed him from back in 2014.
Now Costa has told Chelsea hierarchy that he is desperate to play at the Vicente Calderon Stadium once more.
Despite Costa’s wishes, the new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants the fiery forward to stay in West London.
If Costa departs, Conte will be left with just TWO recognisable first team strikers in Michy Batshuayi and Loic Remy.
