So once again Arsenal face a difficult group stage, albeit 10 times harder than last season, in which they face the likes of last year’s runners up Dortmund, big spenders Napoli, and Higuain, and the french outfit of Marseille. Looking at that group and then at the current Arsenal squad, fans must be having a meltdown. Everyone is now hoping Wenger pulls his finger out and signs players and that’s what looks to be happening
A source apparently from a contact inside the club has said that Wenger is back in the market for Luis Suarez. Now Arsenal have spent most of August going for Suarez and after that offer of 40million plus 1 pound was rejected we expected Wenger to give up and move on. However it looks like he’s back in for him. The contact doesn’t know whether or not this bid will be accepted or how much exactly they are going to offer so all Arsenal fans can do currently is wait fingers crossed that it happens.
However Suarez isn’t the only player, this source goes on to talk about Mesut Ozil and Di Maria again being chased by the club. Despite both stating their desire to stay at the Bernabeu both could make the move to North London if Bale was make his record breaking move from Tottenham. Again this source doesn’t know the exact bid but it does say that bid’s will be made and discussions will take place. The one problem with this is likely to be the wages with Wenger unlikely to pay over 120k a week because he wants to keep it down.
So, again, all Arsenal fans can do is wait and hope that something comes along that solves this transfer problem as surely Sanogo and Flamini aren’t enough.
