It’s understood that Sunderland have had their bid of £5m for the midfielder Tom Huddlestone accepted.
Tottenham are looking to spend big but only if they are able to offload players such as Huddlestone, Scott Parker, Emmanuel Adebayor, Benoit Assou-Ekotto as well as promising full-back Kyle Naughton and striker Jermain Defoe.
Huddlestone is ready to move as he wants to play more than 29 games during one season which he did last season for Spurs.
“I am 26 now and missed a year to 18 months through injury. You just want to play every game. And if that opportunity is not at Tottenham, then I will have to look elsewhere.” Tom admitted.
Huddlestone has been at Tottenham since 2005 and has played a total of 143 games.
