Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has spoken about the possible transfer of Wilfred Bony and has said that the club has received no bids for the player.

Bony who was the 2014 top marksman with 20 goals has stirred up a lot of attention recently due to his fantastic form, is due to leave Swansea today to join up with his international teammates for the Africa Cup of Nations and many fans fear it could be his last appearance for the Welsh club.

Manchester City and Chelsea are believed to be preparing ÂŁ30million pound bids for 26 year old but the Swansea chairman had refused these claims saying;

“There has been no enquiry to me or the club about Wilfried Bony.

“We are in the same position as any other club. Things are as they are.

“No one wants to lose players and if you are to lose players it has to be for the right offer.

“Bigger clubs than us have to deal with that – it’s the nature of football these days. We are realistic about that.

“It’s important to remember we are talking about a player who has scored more goals in 2014 than any other, including people who cost a lot of money.”

Bony moved to Swansea for a club record of ÂŁ12million pound in 2013 has scored 33 goals in 69 appearances.
