Arsenal goalkeeper to spend another season with Roma
Arsenal have agreed a deal with Roma to send goalkeeper Wojciech Szezesney back on loan for another season.
The Polish keeper spent last season with the Serie A giants and impressed in 42 appearances.
Despite signing Brazil international Alisson, Roma were keen to keep Szczesny.
And, as reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo, they have struck a deal with the Gunners.
The two clubs will split Szczesny’s ÂŁ2.5m-per-season salary while Arsenal will net around ÂŁ800,000 (€1m) for the loan renewal.
Roma will also have the option to exercise a £12.5m (€15m) permanent option at the end of the campaign.
It is claimed the deal should be wrapped up by tomorrow.
