Everton believe United are in pole position to snatch up the star striker
Everton are fearing Romelu Lukaku will make move to Manchester United this summer and this is even if Louis Van Gaal does not get the Red Devil’s into the Champions League.
Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has stated publicly the 22-year-old is and will not be for sale but it is said the club are worried they are still going to lose their star player.
And with Jose Mourinho coming into play as a favourite to take over at Old Trafford , he will no doubt provide the star attraction and pulling power.
United are currently struggling to reach the top four and will face Everton on Sunday, the Red Devils will be out for points but it wont be the deciding factor in signing big stars.
Mourinho was heavily criticised for allowing Lukaku to leave Chelsea in a permanent deal in 2014 having loaned him out twice previously.
However, there is no love lost between the pair – Lukaku has even insisted publicly many times that there is no animosity – and United are very keen.
