The English star won’t be in Germany for long.

Borussia Dortmund boss Michael Zorc knows that Jadon Sancho will inevitably leave the club at some point.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has conceded that Jadon Sancho will leave the club, subsequent to rumors linking him with Real Madrid and Manchester United. Sancho’s sparkling form has continued this season – and Borussia Dortmund is unsure just how long they’ll be able to keep him.

The England international has scored three goals and provided four assists in the opening six Bundesliga matches of the season, but rumours surrounding his future continue to circle. Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made the winger his top target but failed in a €100 million summer move, while Jurgen Klopp hailed the former Manchester City wide man as an exceptional talent.

Dortmund managed to keep Sancho at the club through the summer transfer window, but Zorc knows that the 19-year-old will not spend the rest of his career at BVB: “Of course, the biggest clubs in the world aren’t blind”.

“No decision has been made yet. You don’t have to be a prophet to say that Jadon will certainly not play here for five more years”, Zorc said in an interview with Kicker.

“But he is well aware that he has started his positive development here at Borussia Dortmund. I doubt that would have been possible at an English top club. We trust the players very early on and are not afraid to let them play. He acknowledges that”.

Sancho’s contract with Dortmund runs until 2022. The winger has played nine games for the club this season, racking up four goals and six assists.
