Fernando Torres made no attempt to hide his frustration at being subbed at the weekend in the London Derby against Queens Park Rangers.
The Spaniard was replaced in the 81st minute and without even making eye contract with Di Matteo, he stormed off down the tunnel. The game finished 0-0 and Di Matteo was questioned after the game about Torres’ reaction after being subbed.
‘No player is happy when they come off, it’s not a problem. I just wanted to make a change.’ said Di Matteo
Di Matteo and his men will now get ready for their first game as defending champions in the Champions League where they face Italian champions, Juventus.
