Arsenal forward, Theo Walcott, has finally put end to all specuation about his future by signing a contract extension at the club.
The 23-year-old rejected an offer back in the summer worth £75k-a-week and demanded that he gets offered closer to £100k and today Arsenal offered the Englishman what he wanted.
It is reported that Walcott has signed a three-and-a-half year contract worth £100k-a-week, with additional signing on fees. Arsenal and Walcott apparently came to an agreement around 7pm on Thursday night. Arsenal originally offered the player £90k-a-week and a five-year deal which Theo didn’t agree too, but finally the deal was struck.
This finally puts an end to a contract saga that has gone on for over six months. It was such a big topic that a song was even made for it with the title of ‘Sign Da Ting’.
The news that Theo Walcott has signed an extension will be music to Arsenal fans’ ears after they feared losing another key player.
