England international commits his long-term future to Arsenal
Theo Walcott has reportedly put to bed any speculation surrounding his future by penning a four-year deal at Arsenal Football Club.
The pacy winger has just 12-months left on his current deal, and was being eyed up by Liverpool as a potential replacement for Raheem Sterling.
Four-Year Deal
However, according to reports, Walcott has told The Gunners that he will stay and has seemingly agreed to a four-year deal at the club.
Walcott has agreed to a contract worth ÂŁ100k-a-week, making him one of the club’s highest paid players, just under what Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez earn.
It’s believed a formal announcement from club and player should be made before the start of the new season.
The 26-year-old has slowly been recovering from a serious knee injury he sustained in January 2014, but after a few games under his belt at the end of last season, it looks like he’s ready to kick on once again throughout the 2015/2016 campaign.
