Theo Walcott set for Arsenal return

Arsenal have been given an injury boost with the news that winger Theo Walcott should be fit in time to face Southampton this weekend.

The Englishman has been out of action since September due to a stomach injury which forced him to pull out of the Stoke City game last minute.

Walcott was expected to only miss a couple of weeks, but a setback forced the 24-year-old to miss a further month of action, which has left The Gunners down to the bare-bones up front, with only Olivier Giroud a recognised forward.

However, this week saw the winger resume full training and he is in line to face his former-club at the weekend in a top-of-the-table clash as first take on third.

More good news for Arsene Wenger is that Aaron Ramsey’s hamstring injury isn’t serious, so he should be fit for the weekend and also Lukas Podolski has returned to first-team training too, so his return could be just weeks away.
