Spanish football expert Graham Hunter believes Thibaut Courtois will leave Chelsea if he isn’t given the number one spot. The Blues currently have both Petr Cech and Courtois at the club and both keepers don’t want to sit on the bench.
The Belgian keeper has himself spoke out about going back to Chelsea and claimed if he didn’t play full-time he would have to look for ‘a solution.’ Hunter has now backed up this claim as he said:
“He is absolutely clear about this – he’s either coming back as number one or he wants to be sold. He does not want to do what Iker Casillas did at Real Madrid this season and play in cup competitions only.
“He will not accept that solution.”
Now it’s up to Jose Mourinho to decide whether to give the young keeper what he wants and bring him back to Stamford Bridge and give him a regular first-team place or keep faith in Petr Cech and sell arguably one of the best young goalkeepers in the world.
