Things are not well at Arsenal Football Club.

Two losses in a row, Wenger out banners, fans arguing among themselves about where they stand regarding Wengers future at the club, and now even an Arsenal legend is beginning to question things the mannager is saying.

After the 3-1 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge that all but ended the Gunners title hopes, Arsene Wenger claimed that Chelsea’s first goal was “100 per cent” a foul, and should have been disallowed.

Marcos Alonso clattered into Hector Ballarin in the air as he rose up to head the ball home for Chelsea’s first, with his elbow appearing to knock Bellarin in the head – causing Bellarin to be substituted.

But Arsenal legend Thierry Henry disagreed with these comments, reminding Wenger of times decisions did go in his sides favour – and claimed that in his opinion, Marcos’ Alonso’s challenge on Hector Bellarin was fair.

‘He’s going to say that,’ Henry told Sky Sports.

‘If you’re a neutral, he attacked the ball like he should’ve attacked the ball. He carries momentum, it looks bad, that’s what it is, but I think it’s a fair challenge.

‘They are both looking at the ball, he jumps in the air, I think it’s a goal.

‘Going back to what Arsene said, I can understand from the Arsenal corner that he’s going to say that – is that why you lost the game? I don’t think so.

‘Things went your way the other game against Burnley, things are going to go your way against Everton, so, you know, things come and go.

‘But the way they played today, we knew, be careful against Chelsea, you’re going to exposed on the counter if you don’t sense the counter quick enough, and that’s where I think they lost the game today.’

If even Henry feels like this – what is Wenger seeing differently?
