Thomas Tuchel set to join Paris Saint-Germain

Tuchel was also linked to Arsenal

Thomas Tuchel has reportedly agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to ESPN. He will replace Unai Emery as PSG Boss in the next season.

Unai Emery has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season, after getting knocked out from Champions League round of 16 by Real Madrid. PSG ultimate aim is to win the Champions League and has been making huge signings, but for the second time in consecutive years they were knocked out in the same stage of Champions League.

French giants are planning again to bolster their squad this summer and also looking for a manager to replace Emery. They were linked with Chelsea’s Antonio Conte for past few days as the Italian looks likely to leave the Blues this summer.

But according to reports, PSG chairman Nasser al Khelaifi has chosen Tuchel as the man to replace Unai Emery.  The German won over the PSG chief due to his tactical acumen and the playing style he put in place during his time at Dortmund.

Former Dortmund was also linked with top European clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal, they are also looking to replace their current managers this summer. Bayern Munich also approached him but only to be told that he had agreed elsewhere.

Tuchel was sacked by Borussia Dortmund on 30 May 2017. Meanwhile he took an year from management and is now to ready to come back into coaching role.
