Three Blues players have been called up to the England squad for the FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea.
This means they will not be available for selection at their clubs for the rest of this season.
Head coach Paul Simpson has called on defenders Fikayo Tomori, Jake Clarke-Salter and striker Dominic Solanke to the under 20’s England squad
The England U20’s group have a meeting at St. George’s Park on Monday afternoon before flying off to Japan on Tuesday, where they will be staying at a six-day training camp ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea.
Tomori and Clarke-Salter are currently out on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion and Bristol Rovers respectively, Solanke is still at Chelsea.
Solanke one of the Blues’ top prospects, he’s risen through the academy ranks at Cobham and shown a lot of promise, However, his long-term future at Stamford Bridge has been a bit uncertain as a new contract is yet to be agreed.
