Chelsea are expected to sell three players this Summer, with Petr Cech, Filipe Luis and Marco Van Ginkel all considering their futures away from Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have been working on a ‘one-in, one-out’ transfer basis in order to keep in line with the Financial Fair Play rules, but after boasting healthy financial figures, the club will be able to spend freely this Summer, with mega-names on their wishlist.
However, Jose Mourinho still plans on selling a few faces from the club in order to free up some wage bill and also to raise some cash from the sales.
Cech is the most likely to go after falling out of favour due to Thibaut Courtois. The veteran chose to stay last Summer in order to fight for his place, but after failing to win it back, it’s likely that he will be leaving at the end of the season.
As for Luis, he only moved to West London last season but he has failed to break into the first-team due to Cesar Azpilicueta being Mourinho’s favoured choice at left-back. A quick return to Atletico Madrid is on the cards for the left-back.
The last player Chelsea want out is Van Ginkel. The midfielder has spent the season out on loan at Italian side, AC Milan, but officials at Stamford Bridge want him sold permanently this Summer as they see no future for him.
