PSV attacking midfielder Old Toivonen was a summer target for Premier League team Norwich City and a deal was agreed between the two clubs but Toivonen decided to not go ahead with the move.
The 27 year old attacking midfielder has he didn’t go ahead with the move because he was ‘not getting what he wanted.’ A bid was made in the region of £4.7 million and was accepted by PSV however when the player met with Norwich officials he decided against a move to East Anglia.
‘The clubs were happy with the agreement, but I did not get what I wanted.’ Toivonen told Expressen.
‘I am happy in Holland and the family enjoy themselves and if I don’t get what I want, I don’t move.’
‘There are three parties who need to be pleased.’
The midfielder remains uncertain about his future, ‘either the club do not want or you don’t get the conditions you want or the club do not want to sell you.’ he added. ‘I have experienced all of them.’
Toivonen was an unused substitute for Sweden on friday with Norwich’s loan signing Johan Elmander getting on the scoresheet.
