1. Kevin De Bruyne
Finally, the most expensive player in the Premier League 2016 is Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne. The former Chelsea man has been on top of his game since leaving Chelsea in 2014 to join German side Wolfsburg where he impressed and earned himself a big money move back to England but this time, with Manchester City for £51 million making this transfer the second most expensive transfer ever in the Premier League.
After he great season with Wolfsburg, he was named the Footballer of the Year by the German football association. Well, Chelsea will definitely regret letting this lad leave Stanford Bridge.
