4. Alan Shearer
Shearer takes the fourth place on the list of the Top 10 Greatest Players in Premier League History. He was a beast when it came to goals and his outstanding goal tally truly proves that he deserves to be in the top four of the list. Shearer, during his career in the Premier League, managed to find the net 260 times, crazy right. Though the striker scored so many goals in his career the titles he has to his name do not reflect his greatness as he only won the League once during his time with Blackburn.
3. Paul Scholes
In third place is former Manchester United central midfielder Paul Scholes. Paul Scholes has been regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play in the Premier League. Unlike Wayne Rooney who has spent close to eleven years at Old Trafford Paul Scholes stayed at Old Trafford for twenty years . During his career in the Premier League Scholes managed to get eleven League titles.
He has been described by many other players as the best midfielder with former FC Barcelona player Xavi being quoted to have said that Schole was the best central midfielder he had seen in the past 25 years.
