The old classic. Blame the referee.
Jose Mourinho does this A LOT. It’s his classic Jose Mourinho scapegoats if Chelsea didn’t win or Manchester United, Real Madrid, Porto, Inter etc.
Lets give you some famous quotes from ‘The Special One’ after seeing his side drop points.
“I can only remember one decision all season which went in our favour. Now I am risking my dugout in the (Capital One Cup) final because I am having this conversation.
“I speak about these incidents week after week, because they happen week after week. My players are not getting the respect they deserve and it is too much.”
In one instance, he counted out certain minutes in a match to highlight the referees poor decisions and he also refused to talk completely following his side’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa.
Mourinho just doesn’t rate referees it seems.
So there you have it. The 10 reasons why Jose Mourinho loses. Whether it’s an imagined outside force in his mind, or the pitch or opponents or his players etc. It’s usually never Mourinho’s fault his team loses.
