Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsburg was completed over the weekend after City agreed to pay the German side just over £54million.
The former-Chelsea midfielder returns to the Premier League in order to regain some credibility after his failed stint at Stamford Bridge.
De Bruyne made a name for himself in the Bundesliga and that earned him a move back to England with City prepared to splash the cash in order to sign him.
However, £54m was not the most expensive transfer this summer.
